CDS is founded by the Bongduk Education Foundation that established Hangaram High School in Seoul, Korea. Inspired by the success of Hangaram High School, the Foundation hoped to establish a school committing in pursuing the cultivation of the creativity, adaptability, self-motivation and leadership. In September of 2010, the Foundation made an agreement with the Dalton School in New York to launch the faithful innovation of education.
CDS is established on the first of September in 2011 and offers curriculum for grade K~12.
CDS implements the academic curriculum tailored to each student’s needs, interests, and abilities for successful admission to the universities globally including Korea and English-speaking countries. The CDS academic curriculum is designed with project studies during 5 terms in one academic year.
There are dedicated libraries for First Program and Middle-High Program. By the first academic year, the library offers over 12,000 books with 400 seats to provide extensive collection of reading materials. The state-of-the-art facility is including the Dalton Hall (500 seats and Digital Bose Sound System) supports for the students actively participate in learning the Dalton Plan / Curriculum. There are turf grass soccer field, equestrian field, gym, swimming pool, and dormitory facility which provide one unit per student.
